Tuesday Evening Matches... These matches are held between May and August and are open to any anglers(Non permit holders will be charged a £2 fee to cover day ticket). Usually fished on Dixon's Lock section of the canal between the hours of 6pm-9pm. Draw takes place at 5pm. Small entry fees apply and are payable at the draw.

Summer Club Match Section... Membership is required for the 8 matches fished at various venues, Own transport to all venues. more info

Ringwood Cup... Usually fished in May on the Chesterfield Canal. Permit holders only. 08.45am Draw at Dixon's Lock. Fish 10am-4pm. Entry fees £7.00. Prizes 1st, 2nd, 3rd plus section winners dependant on number of entries.

Open Matches... Although not definate dates in the calendar, occasional open matches are held on the canal. Non permit holders are allowed to fish. Notice will be given of any dates arranged and posted on the website.

Stewart & Lloyds Interworks Match... Usually fished in September. A 14 man team event originally fished for by several works teams, the competing teams are now Barrow Hill 'A', Barrow Hill 'B', Stanton 'A', Stanton 'B', Holwell, and Huntingdon. Each year the venue is alternated between the four clubs. Barrow Hills team selection is done on a points scoring basis of Summer Club Match results.

Angling Times Clubman... The top points scorer of the Summer club matches gains sponsored entry into the national Angling Times Clubman Match.

Angling Times SuperCup Team Matches... Selected by a sub committee, two squads compete against other teams in a knockout competition. Earlier rounds are regional becoming national at the later stages.
