Winter League
The competition will run From 15th January to 26th March and will be open to 20 anglers on a first pay, first in basis.
The cost to join the league will be £15.00 with £10.00 pools money payable on the day.
6 matches will be fished on the Mill Green Section of the Chesterfield Canal.(venue, costs, prize money are subject to change dependant on the number of competitors)
Draw and fishing times to be confirmed but proposed times are 10.30am - 3.30pm
2 equal sections of 10 anglers. Section 1 downstream of bridge and section 2 upstream of bridge will compete for the days pools money(approx £200)
Prizes money will be awarded to the anglers with the highest weights in the overall field and to each section winner. (see league table for amounts)
Prize money will be awarded to the highest points scorers over the course of the 6 match competition. For the purpose of allocating points,
the field will comprise of 4 equal sections and points will be awarded to the highest weights in each section in a descending order.
1st=5pts, 2nd=4pts, 3rd=3pts etc..
Only 5 out of the 6 match points returns will count towards in league, the lowest will be disregarded.
In the event any competitors be tied on points, weights will decide the outcome.
